Mr. Sanin Triyanond graduated Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and obtained a Master in Engineering Management from Duke University, USA. Currently, he is a director of Patum Vegetable Oil Company Limited, and Chairman of Thai Biodiesel Producer Association.

He has been actively involved in the areas of palm oil and biodiesel industry for decade and participated in several government committees, which have a significant role in developing and supervising oil palm and palm oil industries in Thailand, for instance, Thailand Oil Palm Board, Palm Oil Balance Management Sub-Committee.

Mr. Asanee Mallamphut

Based out of Bangkok, Thailand, Asanee Mallamphut is currently holding positions of Senior Downstream Advisor, SD Guthrie. He has more than 25 years experience in cooking oil and fats industries. He is also holding many positions such as:

Mr.Krisada Chavananand is currently the managing director at Vichitbhan Palmoil Public Co., Ltd. With more than 30 years of experience toward Palm Oil industry, he has been granted the honor for the position of vice president of the Palm Oil Crushing Mill Association and vice chairman of Palm Oil Industry Club (the Federation of Thai Industry).He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Sam Houston State University, USA and Master of Science, the Trustees of Columbia University, USA. Moreover, he has been invited to be a guest speaker, committee and subcommittee, both for government and private arrangements, on many occasions.

Dr. Supatchalee Sophonthammaphat

She graduated Bsc. Environmental Science at Silpakorn University (1997), Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at Thammasat University (2003) and MSc. Environmental Management at NIDA (2007), Thailand where she got the highest average grade point award. Then, she received the Royal Thai Scholarship to study at the University of Sheffield, UK. In 2015, she graduated Postgraduate Diploma of Energy for Futures (E-Futures) programme in the Faculty of Engineering (2015) and a PhD. E-Futures, Dept. of Chemical and Biological Engineering, The University of Sheffield, UK (2018).

In 1998, she worked as an environmental officer at Air Quality and Noise Management, Pollution Control Department (PCD), Thailand. In 2008, she moved to The Division of Biofuel Development, Dept. of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Ministry of Energy, Thailand. She works as an environmental officer and engineer.

Her works and interesting researches relate to environmental management, air pollution control, petrochemical, gas & oil refinery, renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE), bioenergy, bioethanol, biodiesel, biofuel monitoring system, energy management system (EMS), Bio Circular Green Economy (BCG) model, energy policy and planning, energy emergency response, international energy projects, chemical safety& risk management, energy transition, carbon capture and storage (CCUS) for over 25 years.

Ahmed holds a Master's degree in Chemical and Energy Engineering and works at HeGo Biotec International GmbH. After joining the company, he started by testing amorphous iron hydroxide adsorbents under different conditions to understand their performance and find ways to improve them.

With a technical background, Ahmed later moved into a sales role, focusing on the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions, where there is a growing demand for reliable and efficient H₂S removal solutions.

Now leading business development in these markets, he combines hands-on product knowledge with customer-focused insights to help companies solve their H₂S challenges.

Jiri Jansa has dedicated his entire professional career to the energy industry, building a distinguished track record across regulatory strategy, international business development, and executive leadership. With over 20 years of experience, he brings deep expertise in energy markets, co-generation technologies, and global sales strategy.

He currently serves as Deputy Sales Director of TEDOM Group, a leading European manufacturer of co-generation units. In this role, Jiri is responsible for market strategy and partner development across Europe, Asia, and North America. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding TEDOM’s international presence and driving sustainable growth in key regions.

Since joining TEDOM in 2014, Jiri has held several senior roles, including Regional Sales Director, Managing Director of TTcogen LLC (a joint venture between TEDOM and U.S.-based Tecogen), and Director of TEDOM UK. He successfully led market entry and sales operations across North America and the Pacific, focusing on partner-driven sales models and long-term strategic planning.

Earlier in his career, Jiri served as a Consultant at Arthur D. Little, advising major energy companies in Central and Eastern Europe on market entry, risk management, and energy efficiency. He also held senior leadership roles at the Energy Regulatory Office in the Czech Republic, where he was a Member of the Board of Directors and led the development of regulatory strategies, financial analysis, and international cooperation within the Council of European Energy Regulators.

Past research activities

As leader of Plant Biophysics Laboratory under the support of the Center for Agricultural Biotechnology, our research team has collected and continues to work on the physics of the environment, the leaf gas exchange process and water potential status of various plants, which include oil palm, citrus, mango, eucalyptus, mangosteen, salak, paper mulberry, papaya, hot pepper, orchid, sugar cane and rice. Our interest includes the mass transport process inside the plants under the concept of soil-plant-atmosphere continuum, aiming to understand the underlying processes that limit the potential growth. We concentrate on identifying and solving the bottle-neck problems that limit plant productivity, and on increasing the efficient use of plant production factors, particularly the use of water and fertilizers. The field-proven cultural practices are transferred to groups of farmers and companies for key economic crops such as oil palm, mangosteen and sugar cane. Our team brings science of plant biology to farmers via lectures (in person and videos), training and consultation on regular basis and upon requests from farmers.
