Dr. Supatchalee Sophonthammaphat, She graduated in BSc. Environmental Science from Silpakorn University in 1996 and in MSc. in Environmental Management at the National Institute of Development Administratio (NIDA) in 2006 where she achieved The High average grade point Reward in this field.

In 1997, she started her work, at S.P.S. Consulting service Ltd., on environmental monitoring and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). In 1998, she worked as an environmentalist in the air Quality and Noise Management Bureau, Pollution Control Department (PCD),Thailand for 10 years.

Then, in 2011, she achieved a scholarship from The Royal Thai Government to study in the UK where she attended on Energy for Futures (E-Futures) programme and PhD. This provides great opportunities to explore the renewable energy technologies with her research activities. In 2015, she completed in E- Futures programme (Postgraduate Diploma) in Dept. of Engineering, The University of Sheffield, UK. In 2018, she completed her PhD. Degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering in the same university.

She returned to Thailand in 2017 then, she worked at The Bureau of biofuel development, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Ministry of Energy Thailand. In addition, she attended on renewable energy development and efficiency (RE &EE) in. She also interested in energy policy and strategic planning for example; wind, solar, biomass, biogas, waste to energy (WtE) and biofuel.

In specific research, she had experience in environmental and engineering designs on flow control and photobioreactor for algae cultivation which is the third biofuel generation. Her public work is Energy use and Carbon Footprint at The Darnall forum and Post Office, Sheffield, UK. She worked with professors and specialists in the UK, France, Spain and the USA. Presently, she is a committee on the Evidence-based policies for the sustainable use of energy resources in the Asia-Pacific Region, UNESCAP. She is a special speaker on Thailand Energy Situation in Asia Palm Oil Conference, Ethanol technology Institute, Biorefinery and Bioenergy Conference and charity teaching in the university. Mostly, she spends her leisure time to read a book & journals, travel, hiking on the mountain and photo at the spectacular area around the world.
